Study of the biosynthesis, storage, chemistry, biochemical and physiological function of hormones and also with the cells of the endocrine glands and tissues that secrete them is dealt with the branch Endocrinology . It is a department of medicine, some of them would say a sub-department of internal medicine, which deals with the diagnosis and treatment of diseases related to hormones. It covers human functions as the organising of metabolism, respiration, reproduction, sensory perception, and movement.
