The integration of these sophisticated biosensors into real-time monitoring systems holds immense potential for fortifying the integrity of the food supply chain and minimizing the risk of widespread outbreaks. Newer methodologies are leveraging cutting-edge nanomaterials, microfluidic devices, and advanced electrochemical techniques to achieve these critical improvements in microbial detection [1].
The development of aptasensors, which utilize specific DNA or RNA fragments known as aptamers, presents a highly promising avenue for the precise detection of various foodborne bacteria.
