Dr. James M. Mathew received his PhD in Immunology from Madurai Kamaraj University, Tamil Nadu, India in 1988. Currently, he is working as a Research Professor at Northwestern University, Chicago, USA. He is also the co-director of the Immune Monitoring Laboratory at the Comprehensive Transplant Center. His research is on immunology of transplantation with particular emphasis on innate immunity, cellular immunity, T-cell recognition, antigen presentation, immune regulation and tolerance in clinical organ transplantation. He is serving as an editorial member of several reputed journals. He has authored more than 75 research articles, reviews and book chapters. He is a member of many national and international scientific organizations.
