Biography

Professor Aruna Kumari Prayaga has received her MD in Pathology from Gujarat University, India during the period of 1981- 84. Currently, she is working as Professor and Head, Department of Pathology in Nizam’s Institute of Medical Sciences. Her research has included renal pathology, cytology and breast pathology. Based on this research and fellowship training she has received several awards and honors, such as: Earnest Fernandez award by Indian Academy of Cytologists She is serving as an editorial member of several reputed journals like: Indian Journal of Pathology and Microbiology and Journal of Cytology Expert Reviewers for journals like: Indian Journal of Pathology and Microbiology and Journal of Cytology, Indian Journal of Medical Research, Journal of Transplantation Technologies & Research She has authored close to 100 research articles and chapters in five books. She is a member of Indian Society of renal and transplant pathologists, Indian Rheumatologists association, Indian Academy of Cytologists, Indian Association of Pathologists and Microbiologists.
