Abstract :

Introduction: Platelet-rich plasma (PRP) was used firstly in the treatment of osteoarthritic joints and have very nice effect in it, but actually author found that some patient who got the problem of instability due to injury to ACL got benefit from injection so he tried to use it in ACL partial injury. Methods: We carried out an audit on ACL partial injury diagnosed by MRI and Arthroscopies from April 2014-April 2018. We inject 3-5 ml PRP in a different type of injured ACL. Follow up for 3-6 months clinically the ability to return to playing football. Results: 178 patients admit to Orthopedic Department, Aldiwaniya Teaching Hospital of which 67% returned to play football, 6% missing in follow up, 2% got infection, 4% got restriction of movement, and 21% they got no benefit from injection. \ Conclusion: In this study we found that PRP play a good role in patients who got a sport injury of the knee in general and as well as partial injury of ACL
