Our investigation reports the assortment, biodiversity examinations, seclusion and distinguishing proof of microalgae from various natural surroundings of India. Cyanophyceae and Chlorophyceae were the most prevailing algal gatherings recorded, with the most elevated number being recorded for non-heterocyst us cyanobacteria (48), trailed by 44 unicellular structures. Sagar Island, Sunderbans recorded the best number of green growth, and unicellular/frontier green growth were available in all the examples. Shannon's Diversity Index was most noteworthy in Koikhali, Sunderbans, trailed by Rushikulya River, Odisha. Particular enhancement, purging through sequential weakening followed by plating and normal perceptions prompted the detachment of sixteen strains. Distinguishing proof was finished by utilizing minuscule perceptions, upheld with standard monographs and delegated having a place with seven genera (Chlorella, Chlorococcum, Kirchneria, Scenedesmus, Chlamydomonas, Tetracystis and Ulothrix). 18S rDNA sequencing was embraced for four strains. The arrangement of sixteen strains were screened under standard social conditions for their development energy and Chlorella sorokiniana MIC-G5, trailed by Chlorella sp. MIC-G4 showed the most noteworthy development rates.
