Biography

Dr. M. Mofazzal Hossain is an associate professor in electronics and communications engineering department at East West University, Dhaka, Bangladesh. He received his B.Sc. Eng. degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology, Dhaka (BUET), and Masters and Ph.D. from Kanazawa University (Japan) in 1993, 2000 and 2003 respectively. He started his career as a Lecture at Chittagong University of Engineering and Technology since April 1994, and served there as an Assistant Professor till April 2008. Dr. Hossain worked at Tokyo Institute of Technology (Japan) as a visiting postdoctoral research fellow from November 2005 to November 2007. Dr. Hossains research interests include modeling and simulation of induction thermal plasma for high performance materials processing, mixed-gas induction plasma. Recently Dr Hossain has been working with loss prediction in dielectric material at microwave frequency and Antenna Engineering. He has published significantly in conferences and journals. He is a member of IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers, USA) and IEB (Institute of Engineers Bangladesh).

Design, simulation and implementation of efficient portable planar antenna Performance evaluation and improvement of bandwidth of planar antenna Performance evaluation of nano-antenna using carbon nanotube (CNT) for GHz to THz technology
Modeling of electrical properties and propagation characteristics of metallic carbon nanotubes for antenna and transmission line (microstrip line in MIC, on-chip interconnects etc) applications
Modeling of power losses in dielectric materials and in CNT exposed to microwave propagation
