Latypov Yuri Yakovlevich

Dr. Latypov Yuri Yakovlevich is currently working as Senior Research Fellow at A.V. Zhirmunsky Institute of Marine Biology Russian Academy of Sciences Russia. He completed his graduation from Novosibirsk State University during1968-1973 and post-graduation at Institute of Geology and Geophysics, Novosibirsk during 1973-1976. Dr. Yakovlevich received Ph.D. (Geology) from Institute of Geology and Geophysics, Novosibirsk in 1976. He worked as technicist-geologist at Northeast geological management, Magadan from 1964 to 1968 and later as a Senior researcher at Institute of Marine Biology, Vladivostok in 1976. In 1979 he started working as Chief of Laboratory Benthos Ecology, Institute of Marine Biology and then served as Professor at Far East State University, 2000-2006 and in 2007 Dr. Yakovlevich became Vice Director for Far East State Biosphere Marine Reserve, Vladivostok. He was honoured as An active member of The New York Academy of Sciences, 1995 and also as An active member Russian Academy of Ecology, 1996. He have published more than 150 papers, including 15 monographs.
