The University of Nottingham, Lecturer, Biochemical Engineering Division of Food Sciences, School of Biosciences, UK
Dr. Chenyu Du obtained both his Bachelor and PhD degrees in the Department of Chemical Engineering, Tsinghua University, China. After graduated, he moved to the University of Manchester in 2006 working as the research associate on the platform chemical production from sustainable raw materials. In 2009, he joined a research group in London to develop an advanced generation of biofuel via a thermophilic process. In Jun 2010, Dr. Chenyu Du was appointed as a lecturer in Biochemical Engineering in the University of Nottingham. He has nearly 15 year research experience in fermentations, metabolic engineering, genetics and process development. His current research focuses on the development of novel biological production process for the synthesis renewable biofuels and biochemical.
