Special Issue: Novel Coronavirus Outbreak: Epidemiology, Research and Implications for Public Health

International Journal of Public Health and Safety is pleased to announce Special issue on “Novel Coronavirus Outbreak: Epidemiology, Research and Implications for Public Health”.

Ever since the novel coronavirus or COVID-19 was first reported from China's Wuhan city, the virus has spread to more than 166 countries and territories around the world, according to the Center for Systems Science and Engineering (CSSE) at Johns Hopkins University (JHU). The World Health Organisation declared the virus as a global pandemic on 11 March. Almost 3 Million cases confirmed by April 27, 2020, Where more than 2 Lakhs death occurred around the world.

However, there is an urgent need for greater understanding of the epidemiology, evolution, transmission mechanism and modelling, pathogenesis, vaccines and antivirals, and related laboratory biosafety of this outbreak.

As a result, the International Journal of Public Health and Safety plans to publish a Special Issue entitled “Novel Coronavirus Outbreak: Epidemiology, Research and Implications for Public Health”, with the hope the knowledge and pioneering work shared in the Special Issue can shed light on future directions of CoV research.

Topics include but not limited to;

Novel coronavirus COVID-19 outbreak; Global burden; Risk factors; Community interventions; Clinical trials; Laboratory studies and biosafety; Drug resistance; GIS applications; Cost-effective analysis; Vaccines and antivirals; Mathematical models; Social epidemiology; Modeling & environmental epidemiology; Extreme Weather; Seasonality; Environmental Monitoring; Disease Tracking; Surveillance Systems; Public Health and Environmental Policies.

Submission Process

  • Special issue articles can include both original unpublished research articles and review articles related to the specific theme.
  • Manuscripts will be accepted for publishing in the special issue only after getting approved by the peer review committee.
  • All the articles in special issues should strictly adhere to journal style and formatting.
  • Each special issue can be created with 5-7 articles.

All accepted manuscripts can be submitted online via https://www.scholarscentral.org/submissions/international-public-health-safety.html or through an email id to editor@hilarispublisher.com. Submission should be accompanied by a cover letter with reference to the concerned special issue theme.
