Current research delves deep into the mechanisms underlying the establishment and maintenance of the HIV-1 latent reservoir, exploring innovative approaches. Strategies such as 'shock and kill' and 'block and lock' are being evaluated, alongside promising immunotherapeutic techniques aimed at reservoir reduction or elimination [1].
