Tissue transplantation is the transfer of a tissue from one body to another body or another location on the patient's own body from a donor site, to replace the damaged or absent organ in the recipient's. The regenerative medicine field enables engineers and scientists to build organs from the patient's own cells such as stem cells or cells removed from damaged organs to be re-grown. Tissues and Organs which is transplanted within the same person's body are known as autografts. A transplant which has performed between two different subjects of the same species is known as allografts. Allografts can be either by cadaveric source or living source.
