In this disease, there is additional collagen deposition under the skin. This leads to thickening of the skin cells. Systemic sclerosis also leads to injuries occurring in the arteries. This leads to circulatory system disorders because oxygenated blood cannot flow to all parts of the body. Systemic sclerosis occurs not only in the skin but also in various organs such as the kidneys, liver, etc., resulting in deregulation of the bodily systems.
