Systems biology is an approach in biomedical research to understand the larger picture at the level of the organism, tissue, or cell by putting its pieces all together. Now scientists use systems biology approaches to understand the big picture of how all the pieces interact in an organism. Systems biology has been responsible for the prediction how these systems change over time and under varying conditions, and to develop solutions to the world’s most pressing health and environmental issues. Scientists and clinicians can now investigate and analyse any individual dysregulations occurring within the genomic, transcriptomic, miRnomic, proteomic, and metabolomic levels for the advancement of these technologies.
