Magnetic resonance spectroscopy (MRS) can provide real-time in vivo PK properties useful when used to detect drugs containing nuclei with paramagnetic properties, e.g. 5-FU containing 19F. Likewise, positron emission tomography (PET) can provide PK data when used to detect drugs with radionuclide markers, e.g. temozolamide containing 11C. These are excellent examples of non-invasive real-time pharmacokinetic monitoring. Several factors that can be used as criteria for assessing PD, such as bioenergetic status of tissues, tissue metabolism, and phospholipid membrane turnover can be monitored using MRS. Changes in the spectra of several metabolites (ie, adenosine triphosphate, choline, phosphanolamine, lactate, N-acetylaspartate), after cancer therapy, can potentially be used to monitor response to treatment. Journal of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation Open Access is one of the best online publishing journals for research in the field of magnetic resonance spectroscopy. The open access articles published in this scholarly journal are reviewed by at least two reviewers of associated fields. As an important educational platform, the journal allows scientists and researchers to access the latest research trends and perspectives. Please browse the list of peer-reviewed journals to find the scientific publication that interests you.
