Nuclear Scanner

Nuclear scans use radioactive substances to see structures and functions inside your body by using special camera that detects radioactivity. All type of tissue that may be scanned like bones, organs, glands, blood vessels etc. by using different radioactive compound as a tracer. The tracer remains in the body temporarily before it is passed in the urine or stool (feces).

Nuclear Scanner is a test that generates pictures (scans) of internal body parts using small amounts of radioactive material. Nuclear Scanner is used to provide images of organs and areas of the body that cannot be seen well with standard X-rays. Many abnormal tissue growths, such as tumors are particularly visible using Nuclear Scanner. Nuclear Scanner is very safe, where the dosage of radiation you receive is quite low and stays in your body for a short time. To eliminate the radioactive material from your system, a large amount of fluids should be taken.
