Ergonomics is that the process of designing or arranging workplaces, products and systems in order that they fit the people that use them. Most people have heard of ergonomics and think it's something to try to to with seating or with the planning of car controls and instruments . Ergonomics applies to the planning of anything that involves people – workspaces, health and safety. Ergonomics may be a branch of science that aims to find out about human abilities and limitations, then apply this learning to enhance people’s interaction with products, systems and environments. Ergonomics aims to enhance workspaces and environments to minimise risk of injury or harm. So as technologies change, so too does the necessity to make sure that the tools we access for work, rest and play are designed for our body’s requirements.
