Biography

I am senior pathologist since 2003 and I am involved in all the activities from our department: autopsy,macroscopic orientation of the specimens, histopathologic diagnosis and cytology. I have been implementing and currently coordinating the activity in the Compartment of Immunohistochemistry since 2007 and the Compartment of Direct Immunofluorescence and in situ hidridisation since 2009. I have 13 years of experience in dermatopathology; I evaluate approximately 3500 dermatopathologic cases a year, both tumor and nontumor lesions, more than 1000 cases being melanocityc lesions. As a senior pathologist and associate professor I have supervised resident in pathology and residents in other medical specialties (dermatology, oncology, radiotherapy and urology) during their pathology rotation. As part of my academic appointment I teach students (both theoretical courses and practical seminars) and I am involved in several research projects.
