Pradeep Kadambi completed his MBBS training at Bangalore Medical College and then trained at the Hospital of Saint Raphael, a Yale affiliate, in Internal Medicine and Nephrology. Due to his passion for kidney transplantation, he pursued a Transplant Nephrology fellowship at the University of Chicago, where he was the first fellow to undergo this training under the guidance of Dr. Michelle Josephson. He subsequently stayed on as faculty at the University of Chicago till UTMB was able to recruit him. He held leadership positions including the Director of the Nephrology Outpatient Practice, and the Director of the Medicine Inpatient Bed Flow Control. Currently, Dr. Kadambi is the Medical Director of the Kidney and Pancreas Transplant Program at UTMB, and is also an active member of the Clinical Enterprise Marketing Committee.
