Biography

 Bartlett joined the Sports and Exercise Science Dept within the College of Nursing & Health Sciences in 2009. She received a B.S. in both Biology & Psychology from Syracuse University in 2003, an M.S. in Sport & Exercise Psychology from West Virginia University in 2006, and an M.A. in Community Counseling from West Virginia University in 2009. She completed her Ph.D. in Sport and Exercise Psychology in 2009 also from West Virginia University.

Bartlett teaches Sport Sociology, Exercise Psychology, Sport Psychology, Health & Wellness for Children, Measurement & Evaluation, and graduate-level Research Techniques.

She completed her dissertation titled “The Evaluation of a Nutrition Education and Fitness Program with a Contest Component Among College Students Using the RE-AIM Framework” in fall of 2009, which was accepted for publication to the California Journal of Health Promotion in July 2010. She recently presented a workshop at the annual Association for Applied Sport Psychology conference on how to work with gossip on sport teams, as well as a presentation on how to improve college student fitness programs at the annual meeting of the American College Health Association.

Her research interests include the biopsychosocial effects of stress and physical activity on health, college student wellness, and exercise psychology.
