Michael Grasso

Dr. Michael Grasso III is a leading urologist and urologic surgeon with an expertise in kidney cancer and urologic oncology. In practice for 25 years, he is renowned for his use of minimally invasive and laparascopic surgery. He sees patients at Lenox Hill Hospital in New York City, and will also be available for appointments at Phelps Memorial Hospital in Sleepy Hollow, N.Y., a recent addition to the North Shore-LIJ Health System.

Dr. Michael Grasso III is a nationally and internationally renowned cancer surgeon, urologic surgeon, and urologist who has pioneered minimally-invasive surgical techniques commonly employed to treat kidney cancer and other tumors, as well as other complex conditions of the urinary tract. Over the last 25 years he has both designed and employed clinically tiny fiber-optic and digital endoscopes, 2mm in diameter, treating thru the natural passages without an incision the most complex disorders of the upper urinary tract. He has also designed some of the most innovative laparoscopic treatments available, focusing on techniques that both treat disease yet also minimize trauma, preserve, when possible, organs, and shorten hospital stays.
