Biography

In 2009 Matteo Zanardelli graduated in Pharmacy at University of Milan, discussing a thesis entitled “Neuronal and glial cells communication in the trigeminal ganglia: interaction between extracellular nucleotides and algogens in the migraine pain signalling”. In 2010 he obtained the qualification to work as Pharmacist. He won a post-doc fellowship for a research project entitled: “Evaluation of artemin levels in plasma of depressed patients” at the University of Florence. In 2014 he obtained the PhD in Pharmacology, Toxicology and Innovative treatment discussing a thesis entitled “Oxaliplatin neuropathy; a safe pharmacological approach based on the activation of different apoptotic pathways in normal vs tumoral cells” at the University of Florence". His scientific interest is aimed to understand the molecular mechanisms characterizing the relationship between the etiology of pigmental disorder and the nervous system mediators.

Research Interest

The research activity of Matteo Zanardelli is focused on the study of the physiopathological mechanisms at the base of nervous tissue alteration. In particular his scientific interest is aimed to understand the molecular mechanisms that characterized the relationship between the etiology of pigmental disorder and nervous mediators.
