Dr. Sun is currently an Attending Surgeon of General Surgery at Ruijin Hospital, Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine, Shanghai Minimally Invasive Surgery Center, Shanghai, China. Dr. Sun finished his residency training in 2009 and has been involved in the clinical works focusing on gastroenterological neoplasm for over 6 years. He was also a visiting scholar of Mayo Clinic, US, as well as visiting scholar of the Department of Pathology, University of Sydney, Australia. Dr. Sun’s clinical specialty includes minimally invasive surgery treatment for colorectal cancer, gastric cancer, as well as GIST. Moreover, Dr. Sun also has a wide range of research interest and is now mainly focusing on: a. mechanisms of cytoskeleton-remodeling-mediated migration and invasion in colorectal cancer metastasis; b. development of novel anti-cancer drugs.
Dr. Sun is the author of many peer review publications in the main scientific journals including: Carcinogenesis, Molecular Pharmacology, Surgical Endoscopy, Plos One, Cancer Science, BMC Gastroenterology, World Journal of Surgery, International Journal of Surgery, etc
