Dr. Betul Tas

Biography

Dr. Betul Tas was born in Canakkale in 1966. She completed her elementary and high school education in Turkey. She began her medical education at Selcuk University Faculty of Medicine, and got the title of Medical Doctor in 1989. In 1993, she got the title of Specialist Dermatologist from Istanbul Sisli Etfal Research and Training Hospital in 1998. Between 1999 and 2009 she worked as a consultant dermatologist at Bornova Emergency and Traumatology Hospital of Ministry of Health, in Izmir. From 2010, she has been working as the Administrative Chief and Head of the Dermatology Department of Bagcilar Research and Training Hospital of Ministry of Health, in Istanbul. Her research expertise area is “ cutaneous T cell lymphomas” and she wrote an expertise thesis on this topic, however she is also interested in other skin tumors, hair and pigmentary disorders, psychodermatology, dermato-immunology, and genodermatoses. Dr.Tas is still a member of Turkish Society of Dermatology, Turkish Association of Skin and Venereal Diseases and International Dermoscopy Society. She has written more than 50 scientific papers, and still continues her academic studies at the same institution.
