He is awarded PhD in Biology of Host-Pathogen Interactions from University of Sao Paulo, Brazil in 2008. He is currently a Young Investigator (FAPESP) in UFABC. Guiding the Evolution program and Diversity UFABC and Experimental epidemiology program applied to the Zoonoses Department of Preventive Veterinary Medicine and Animal Health, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and Animal Science of the University of São Paulo. He is also a Teacher and supervisor of the Medicine program Veterinary and Animal Welfare at the University of Santo Amaro. It works in the area of Human and Animal Parasitic Protozoology, with an emphasis on phylogeny, taxonomy and molecular diagnosis of Trypanosoma and Leishmania parasites.
