Dr Agnieszka Kolada is a hydrobotanist, experienced in aquatic plant ecology and phytosociology. In 2008, she has received her doctorate degree (PhD) in biological sciences, area: ecology from Adam Mickiewicz University in PoznaÃâ¦ââ¬Å¾, Faculty of Biology. Since 2003, she works in the Institute of Environmental Protection-National Research Institute, Department of Freshwater Assessment Methods and Monitoring, Warsaw, Poland. Currently she is working on the position of Senior Researcher. The major areas of her interest include analysis of biocenotic and spatial structure changes of aquatic vegetation in lakes, evaluation and application of the macrophyte-based methods for ecological status assessment of lakes, development of scientific bases for Water Framework Directive implementation and scientific supervision on national lake monitoring and monitoring programme in Poland. She has authored over 30 research articles and book chapters.
