Abstract :

Abstract: The health care sector is now embracing a plethora of newer technologies and, eventually, producing a massive amount of data. Managing these data for effective health care systems is a challenge. Health care data analytics is a multidisciplinary field where scientific investigation is conducted to study social factors, financing systems, health technologies, and personal behaviours. Health care analytics aims to make health care effective, affordable, safe, accessible, and patient-oriented. The motivation behind health care analytics is to benefit both the patients and the healthcare providers. Health care brings together experts from various disciplines such as medicine, social science, statistics, engineering, policy, governance, etc. However, one of the challenges the health care sector faces is detecting and identifying cyberattacks and reducing cyber incidents. Due to the emerging malicious Internet users, i.e., cybercriminals, health care is being affected. This talk will address the cybersecurity challenges associated with smart healthcare, which will provide a bigger picture of the concepts, intelligent techniques, practices, and open research directions in this area.

Biography :

Dr Mohiuddin Ahmed has made practical and theoretical contributions to cyber security and big data analytics for several application domains. His research has a high impact on the blockchain, edge computing, digital health, explainable artificial intelligence, unmanned aerial vehicles, and national security. He has developed benchmark datasets showcasing anomalous network traffic in smart healthcare (ECU-IoHT) and unmanned aerial vehicles (ECU-IoFT). Mohiuddin has edited several books and contributed articles to The Conversation. His research publications in reputed venues attracted more than 2200 citations with an h-index of 18. He has been listed in world’s Top 2% scientists for 2020-2021 citation impact. Mohiuddin secured several external and internal grants worth more than AU$450K within a very short timeframe and has been collaborating with academia and industry. He has been regularly invited to speak at international conferences and public organizations, interviewed by media such as The Guardian, The West Australian, Australian Associated Press, Australian Institute of International Affairs, and Ausbiz Television.
