Keynote: J Biosens Bioelectron

Abstract :

The advances in biomedical engineering have been increased drastically in the last decade. This is mainly due to the technologies progress, electronic devices become faster and smaller. According to Moor?s law, the speed is doubled and the scale of integration is halved every two years, and that was the main derive behind the technologies advancements. Professor Mansoor has done an excellent work in the analysis of brain signals using EEG biosensors for the treatment of epilepsy using bio feedback techniques. The speech will focus on biosensors types and technologies. A special emphases will be focused on the challenges for detecting the brain activities and make them available to the physicians for better diagnoses and treatment. One type of biosensors for brain is the one that monitor the neurochemical concentrations in real time that will allow the physicians to have more data of the patients for further analysis and diagnosis. The combinations of various biosensors will pose a great challenge as big data needed to be processed and analyzed. The state of the art of the current research and the prospect of the future one will be discussed.
