These growth patterns, often classified as vertical, horizontal, or balanced, shape the framework within which the dental arches and soft tissues reside. An imbalance in growth direction or magnitude can result in discrepancies that persist into adulthood, affecting the harmony of the smile and facial profile. As cosmetic dentistry becomes increasingly focused on personalized and natural-looking outcomes, understanding individual growth patterns is essential for planning interventions.
