Addressing the acute phases of this illness, systematic reviews and network meta-analyses offer crucial comparative insights into various pharmacological treatments for acute manic and depressive episodes. These analyses empower clinicians to make evidence-based decisions, identifying the most effective and tolerable therapeutic agents for individual patient care during these challenging periods [2].
