Pain Mechanism High Impact Factor Journals

With the estimated high prevalence in the population, the two symptoms of pain and depression threaten the well-being of millions of people worldwide. Research on the two symptoms has increased from year to year. The most cited studies will help to understand the achievements and guide researchers towards the direction of the research area. However, it is not clear for research in the area of   pain and depression. In this article, we looked at the features of the most cited articles on pain and depression. We will review the evidence of authorship, country of origin, institution, review, type of study and year of publication for the 100 most cited pain and depression studies based on the Web of Science Core collection. We also highlight the studies with the most cited times. Our study concluded that pain and depression were correlated, which may share common biological pathways.

A form of extracted data has been predefined, including basic information, such as title, first author and name of corresponding author, year of publication, number of citations, source of journal, impact factor of the journal, the type of article, the organization of corresponding author, country of origin based on the corresponding author. Each study was reviewed and the information collected. The relationships between the number of citations and the journal, the year of publication, the type of study, the country, the institution and authorship were analyzed. Descriptive statistics were used to present the results. The data and results analyzed could be assessed by contacting the corresponding author of this study.
