Journal on Annular Pancreas is the most credible online publication. Pancreas Journal (JOP) has its distinction in publishing the most innovative and revised research knowledge in the form of editorials and articles of analysis. Annular pancreas is a unusual disease that outgrows some of the pancreatic tissue and covers duodenum. The extra tissue originates from the pancreatic ear. It causes duodenum constriction thus blocking the movement of food to the remaining portion of the intestines. The prevalence of annular pancreas incidence is 1 in 12,000 to 15,000 newborns. It normally happens because of irregular or extra development of the embryology. But some cases of adults were also reported. Early symptoms of dysfunction include polyhydramnios, low birth weight and immediate after birth feeding intolerance. In adults two cases of annular pancreas are recorded. A middle-aged lady with duodenal obstruction and gastric ulcer identified in the first instance. Her symptoms were relieved by anterior H. S. V. with posterior truncal vagotomy and duodeno-jejunostomy isoperistalis. A young girl in the second case faced duodenal obstruction, extreme wasting and gross dehydration.
