Abstract :

Acquired Immunodeficiency Syndrome (AIDS) is an infectious disease caused by the human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) and transmitted in most cases through unprotected sexual intercourse with infected individuals. The Antiretroviral Therapy (ARVT) accompanied by the therapeutic monitoring of drug plasma concentrations, allows an adequate and effective follow-up in each patient. A reliable analytical method for measuring ARV drugs in biological matrix is an important prerequisite. We describe the validation of a bio analytical methodology by HPLC-DAD for the simultaneous determination of Efavirenz (EFV), Lopinavir (LPN) and Ritonavir (RTV) in human plasma.
