Bone marrow edema occurs with age. Generally, the bone marrow has three parts: the bone part, the fatty part and the part of production of blood cells. In the young age, the three portions are present in general proportions. As age increases, the part of blood cell production decreases and the fatty part increases, which leads to edema of the bone marrow. The review articles are a summary of the current state of knowledge on a particular research subject. They analyze or discuss research previously published by scientists and academics rather than reporting new research results. The journal article is in the form of systematic reviews and literature reviews and constitutes a form of secondary literature. Systematic reviews determine an objective list of criteria and find all previously published original research articles that meet the criteria.
