Maxillofacial Surgery Open Access Articles

Maxillofacial Surgery is an exciting and challenging specialty of Dentistry that mixes dental, medical, and surgical knowledge and skills. Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery is that the specialty of Dentistry that concentrates on the diagnosis and surgical management of oral and maxillofacial pathologic conditions, including epithelial diseases and mesenchyme disorders of soppy and hard tissues. Over the previous couple of years, there has been an unlimited expanse in available technology to help maxillofacial reconstruction. The intent is to minimise surgical operating time, more accurate and symmetrical bony reconstruction with the last word goal of providing a decent dental rehabilitation and thus a decent quality of life. This talk will explore the Birmingham way of maxillofacial reconstruction, with tips about surgical technique and our use of technology in a very cost effective way.
