International Retailing

International commerce and commerce have existed for centuries and played a very important part in the history of the world. International Retailing has nevertheless existed and has gained ground in the past two to three decades. Along with globalization, the economic boom in many countries has given way to organizations seeking to develop cross-border retailing. As for International Retailing, the introduction of internet and multimedia has further modified the dimensions. A careful review of the definition for international retailing reveals certain concepts that are key to the international retailing process. Those include processes, principles, skills in management , technology, and procurement. However, we can classify the international retailers broadly into two categories. The global grocery retailers would be the first category, and the second category belongs to the International Fashion brands.
