Drug delivery devices are the specialized tools for the delivery of therapeutic agent. Such devices are used as part of one or more medical treatments. It is the technology that is utilized to present the drug to the desired body site for drug release, absorption and the subsequent transport of the active ingredients across the biological membranes to the site of action.
