Biochemistry deals with the structures, functions and interactions of biological macromolecules, such as proteins, nucleic acids, carbohydrates and lipids, which provide the structure of cells and perform many functions associated with life. The review articles are a summary of the current state of knowledge on a particular research subject. They analyze or discuss research previously published by scientists and academics rather than reporting new research results. The journal article is in the form of systematic reviews and literature reviews and constitutes a form of secondary literature. Literature reviews, on the other hand, provide a summary of what the authors believe to be the best and most relevant previous publications. The concept of "review article" is distinct from the concept of peer-reviewed literature. An exam may be peer reviewed, and an exam may not be peer reviewed.
