Dr. Sarper Sarp has received his PhD in Environmental Engineering from Gwangju Institute of Science and Technology (GIST), South Korea, in 2011. He also has received his Master’s and Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering from Ege University, Turkey. Currently he is working as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in the School of Environmental Science and Engineering at GIST. He also worked for Southern Nevada Water Authority and University of Nevada, Las Vegas as a research scholar and Part-time instructor, respectively. He has authored 14 research papers in the last four years. He is a reviewer of IWA conferences and Desalination and Water Treatment Journal.

Urban Hydrology, Economically feasible Forward Osmosis process – Applications of alternative macromolecular and polymeric draw solutions.
Economically feasible Forward Osmosis process – Draw solution recovery with vapor-liquid equilibrium based phase separation.
Smart Water Grid – Direct Potable Re-use in decentralized, IT assisted, wastewater treatment systems.
Advanced Oxidation Processes – Development and application of prediction models for oxidative removal of pharmaceuticals from water sources.
Advanced Oxidation Processes – Fouling, boron, and bromide control in seawater desalination by integrating in-line advanced oxidation processes into the Reverse Osmosis system.
