Biography

Dr. Aamir Sofi is a Cardiac Electrophysiologist at the Mount Sinai Hospital, New York. He did his internal medicine residency at the University of Florida and Cardiology fellowship at the University of South Florida. He was trained in his sub-specialty of Cardiac Electrophysiology at the Icahn School of Medicine (Mount Sinai Hospital), New York, where he subsequently accepted a faculty position. He is involved in multiple national and international research studies assessing the role innovative therapies for prevention of stroke in atrial fibrillation, factors affecting progression of hypertension, and evaluating new techniques for treatment of arrhythmias and prevention of heart failure. He has published several scientific research papers, presented at numerous international scientific meetings, and has been invited to speak at several international cardiology conferences. He is also a reviewer for some of the most prestigious international cardiology journals.
