Dr. Yu- Cheng, a board-certificated physician, is the current professor of Medical Imaging and Intervention Division and the Director of Cancer Center. He has also served as the executive chief of international medical center at Kaohsiung branch. He specializes in diagnostic radiology, interventional radiology,and imaging in liver transplant. He participates in the multidisciplinary liver transplant team with the lead of emeritus superintendent Chao-Long Chen, MD.
During his tenure at Kaohsiung branch, Dr. Cheng had received numerous awards, to name a few here, including Travel award and Rinsing Star Symposium Award from International Liver Transplantation Society, outstanding scientific papers award from American Journal Transplantation for three times and Silver Metal of National Biotechnology and Medical Care Quality Award in Taiwan. His medical techniques and efforts gained him worldwide prestigious reputation.
Dr. Cheng earned his medical degree from China Medical University, Taiwan. He completed his residency at Chang Gung Memorial Hospital, and was awarded as the best chief resident in 1985. Then, he left for Washington University in the United State for a three-month advanced study of Magnetic resonance imaging.
