Biography

Dr. Pérsio Roxo-Junior graduated in medicine from the Faculty of Medicine of Ribeirão Preto - University of São Paulo (1988), master's degree in Health of Children and Adolescents, University of São Paulo (1994) and PhD in Child and Adolescent University of São Paulo (1999). Fellowship in allergy and immunology at Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center - USA (2004) and Clinical Placement Observer in Bone Marrow Transplant and Primary Immunodeficiencies at the University of Newcastle upon Tyne - UK (2005). Was a physician assistant Immunology, Allergy and Rheumatology Pediatric Hospital of the Ribeirão Preto Medical School, USP and professor of the University of Ribeirão Preto Medical School until 2007. Professor, Department of Pediatrics and Sector Coordinator Pediatric Allergy and Immunology of Ribeirão Preto Medical School of USP since 2008. President of the Scientific Department of Allergy and Immunology at the Brazilian Society of Pediatrics and a member of the Scientific Department of Allergy and Immunology Society of Pediatrics of São Paulo. Author of Allergy and Immunodeficiencies in Pediatrics - Practical Approach, published by Tecmedd in 2006 and the book Diagnosis and Treatment of Allergic Diseases in Pediatrics, published by Atheneu in 2011.
