Noriko Kagawa

Biography
Dr. Noriko Kagawa obtained
her
PhD in 2005 from theKyoto University, Japan.
She
is currently Director of the Repro Self Bank in Repro Support Medical Research Center (Tokyo, Japan), after working within the world's largest human IVF unit, Kato Ladies' Clinic. In 2000,
she
started animal embryology and studied ART (Assisted Reproductive Technologies; IVM, IVF, vitrification, embryo culture) in pig, and established the porcine follicular growth system using SCID mice (Kagawa et al., 2005).
She
moved to the human IVF field in 2004, and has developed vitrification methods for mammalian ovaries and ovarian tissues (mice, cat, dog, lion, giraffe, bovine, human).
She
established the human ovarian tissue vitrification (Kagawa et al., 2010), and started to bank ovarian tissue for cancer patients in Japan and U.S.A. From 2007,
she
started collaboration clinical research about ovarian tissue vitrification and transplant for cancer patients with Dr. Silber. Now
she
has 50cases of clinical ovarian tissue vitrification in Japan and U.S. Now,
her
interests are purification of oocytes from cancer ovary and vitrification of various organs for unlucky patients.
Her
policy is to give the normal life like as healthy people by fertility preservation for patients.
