Professor
Michael Wangia, MD is board certified in both Dermatology and Dermatopathology. He has served as an Assistant Professor of Dermatology at the University of Florida. He has authored several publications and presented at both local and national meetings. Dr. Wangia’s completed an internship in Internal Medicine, and Residency in Dermatology at the University of Florida. He was awarded the Outstanding Resident Teacher Award by the Society of Teaching Scholars. Subsequently, he completed Dermatopathology Fellowship training at the University of Florida under Vladimir Vincek, M.D. PhD, and Ann Church, M.D. During his fellowship year, Dr. Wangia was fortunate to engage in professional externships at the Cleveland Clinic (soft tissue pathology) with Steven Billings, M.D. and Brian Rubin, M.D. PhD; and at University of California San Francisco (melanocyte pathology) with Philip LeBoit, M.D. and Timothy McCalmont, M.D.
Dr. Wangia attended Howard University where he attained his Medical Degree and was elected into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. He attended Utah Valley University for his undergraduate studies where he completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology with Cum Laude honors.
