Biography
Maurizio Chiriva-Internati D is currently working as an Assistant Professor, Departments of Hematology and Oncology, Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center School of Medicine, Lubbock, Texas, USA. For the past decade, he has been investigating tumor antigens as therapeutic and diagnostic tools. His research has led to the identification of novel cancer testis antigens for the development of immunotherapeutic strategies against solid and non-solid tumors. Furthermore, his research is focused on developing new therapies for multiple myeloma, ovarian and lung cancer, and prostate cancer and melanoma. His basic science research is on immunotherapy of human cancer by the identification of new tumor (-associated) genes, antigens cancer testis antigens, epitopes and biomarkers and by understanding the basic biology of dendritic cells and the basic immunology of cancer.
