Francesca Bianchi

Biography

Francesca Bianchi is lecturer of English Language and Translation at the University of Salento.
She graduated in Translation in Trieste (Italy), and was awarded a Ph.D. in Linguistics at Lancaster (UK).
She was involved in the creation of pedagogical units using multimedia authoring systems, the development of computerized interactive teaching environments, and the use of subtitling as a CLIL task. Her most recent research interests in ICT revolve around the use of subtitling in CLIL, and of open, collaborative online environments in teaching translation.
She participated in several nationally financed projects and collaborated with several Italian and European universities, including Pavia, Trieste, Hannover, and CNR-Pisa.
