Antonio Abate

Biography

Dr. Antonio Abate is a Marie Curie Research Fellow at École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne and group leader in the Soft Matter Physics division of the Adolphe Merkle Institute, Switzerland. He obtained his PhD in Industrial Chemistry and Chemical Engineering at Politecnico di Milano, Italy in 2011. He worked for 4 years as postdoctoral researcher at the University of Oxford and the University of Cambridge in the United Kingdom. Since 2014 he is leading the photovoltaics research at the Adolphe Merkle Institute, where his research focus on hybrid organic-inorganic materials for optoelectronics such as perovskite based solar cells.
