The operational yielding of industrial equipment and machinery is a very important factor in the activities of each industry, because is part of productivity and quality indices of manufactured products. The majorly of this type of industries use widely a variety devices such as PID (Proportional-Integral-Derivative), which generates control of a diverse industrial operations, depending is required. The PID is designed at low cost with basic electronic components of low power as coils, capacitors, resistors, relays, and transistors, where some companies in the Mexicali city not use this type of devices and not have an optimal control in the manufacturing areas. An industry of electronic sector and that fabricates cell phones, tablets and laptops located in this city, reflected some problematic situations in where wasn’t control in some industrial operations, and were occurred a lot failures and human errors an investigation to regulate these specific operations was made using PID. This scientific study showed the necessity of use this electronic devices and, when was applied its, was elaborated the control was observed an increase in levels of productivity and quality, and decreasing the costs by the presence of defective products without finished and stored in zones of manufacturing areas, delaying the process and the delivery to others areas and customers, and originating loss of customers. Other important aspect observed with the use of PID, was that equipment and machinery increased its life time generating low indices of electrical failures, because it’s operated in the time required and not always were working even without raw materials to manufacture the products of the electronic industry evaluated. The investigation was made from 2017 to 2018.

Soil acid Management using Biochar:Review

Miheretu Bedassa*

DOI: 10.37421/2169-0316.2021.10.298

Soil acidity affects the growth of crops because acidic soil contain toxic levels of aluminum and manganese and characterized by deficiency of essential plant nutrients such as P,N, K, Ca, Mg, and Mo. The management options to correct acid soils are, improve nutrient use efficiency, liming, application of organic materials, biocha ,appropriate crop rotations, crop mixtures, use of varieties that tolerant to Al and Mn toxicity. Biochar application improves crop productivity through enhancing water holding capacity, cation exchange capacity (CEC), and adsorption of plant nutrients and creates suitable condition for soil micro-organisms.

Designing and Engineering of Automatic Board Cleaner Using CNC Based Mechanism

Nahinur Rahman* and Argha Sikder

DOI: 10.37421/2169-0316.2021.10.296

Report has been written on designing and engineering automatic board cleaner to introduce a new advance mechanism for erasing the board. In previous projects, the mechanism used for erasing the board was failed to achieve its true potential of decreasing erasing time and eventually increasing or optimizing the lecture duration. The reason behind this was if the lecturer had written a small word in a portion of the board, the duster used to erase the whole board, not just that portion. And the mechanism used too were very slow and outdated. These are the areas where we focused to improved. The present demand of the market & customers is always main priority for developing the demand. So, we developed the product using survey analysis, quality function deployment and TOPSIS. And it was run by using updated technology of CNC based 3D printing mechanism.

A Designed System for Providing Solutions to Basic Engineering Problems

Paul Tamaragaibi*

DOI: 10.37421/2169-0316.2021.10.297

Engineering and the manner in which engineers think is largely visual and functional, and yet engineers are typically provided with a lot of other basic engineering problems to be solved and applied to complex ones. This paper present a designed software for providing solutions to some basic engineering problems. C++ programming language was used in writing the codes. The paper explains the activities involved in C++program development and touched areas such as the general concept of programming, programming languages, compilation and interpretation, storage and execution, functional lines to which computer programs maybe categorized. Several engineering problems and their various real-world applications were considered to accomplish the aim of the work. The problem requirements were properly understood, and the program adequately developed using the Dev-C++ software. The program was coded in a modular fashion, and constructed in a manner that can be fairly understood. Algorithms and flow charts for the basic engineering problems considered were obtained and using formula translation, solutions to such issues were dynamically programmed using the Dev C++ software. The results from the developed software when compared with other methods such as numerical and approximate analytical solutions were observed to be the same. The developed software is however, more user friendly and can be implemented at A Level Higher Institutions, as well as have many other real-world applications.

ABC Classification for Inventory Optimization (Case Study Family Supermarket)

Aregawi Yemane*, Alehegn Melesse Semegn and Ephrem Gidey

DOI: 10.37421/2169-0316.2021.10.294

This article deals with comparison between traditional ABC classification (using annual usage only) and an optimal new multi criteria ABC classification (using annual usage, unit price and lead time). ABC inventory classification is a well-known approach to assign items into three basic categories as A, B, and C based on their usage volume and sales. Efficient and effective inventory management helps a firm maintain competitive advantage, especially in a time of accelerating globalization. Most of the super market managers in our country do not use any inventory control techniques to monitoring the huge amount of items in their stock. The aim of this paper is to introduce an optimal multiple-criteria ABC analysis that improves the inventory management control system. On this approach the researchers use additional criteria, such as unit price and lead time.
