Micro and Nano flows: Theory and Application in Science and Engineering:
Many nanotechnologies, especially those in high-tech applications, involve nanoparticle – fluid flow. In most of the applications, the success of the application depends to a large degree on the success in controlling the fluid flow and the collective behavior of nanoparticles in the system. Over the last few years, great effort has been made worldwide for the modelling and control of micro and nano flows. Many analytical and numerical approaches have been developed and applied to the study of micro and nano flows in many fields in Science, Engineering, biology and biomedicine. This special issue aims at providing a multidisciplinary forum of discussion on recent advances in the statistical and mathematical modelling and control of fluid flow and heat transfer in micro and nano scales as well as their applications to biology, engineering and medicine. We invite all engineers, scientists, industrialists, clinicians, modelers and experimentalists working in the field to contribute original research papers for this special issue.
