Biography

Dr. Gang Sun has received his PhD in Chemistry from Auburn University. Currently, he is working as Professor in UC Davis University. He has authored 150 peer-reviewed journal publications, 12 book chapters, 100 proceedings, and 16 US patents have been published up to now. He is a Governing Council Member of Fiber Society. Research Interest

Research on functional materials for professionals including biological protection, chemical protection, fire and heat protection, novel functional polymers and textiles and their human health and environmental impacts. Development of nanofibers and nano materials with biological and chemical functions. Environmentally friendly materials and biopolymers including bio-colorants and natural materials. Collaborative research on materials uses, environmental and societal impact, life-cycle and risk assessments and new technologies of disposable and reusable textiles
